Koolsville $10 tattoos & piercings...., Is it worth it?
It was august, & my 19th birthday was rolling around and my sister had told me prior that she would get me a new tattoo as she did the year before.
I’d planned on getting a tiny skull inspired off of something I saw on pinterest, the time had finally come when we’d arrived at the curb side of a building drenched in pink. We walked in to the store only to find out their $10 skull tattoos were let’s just say….. Not my cup of tea.
I settled for a rose, some people may ask how you make such a quick decision on a permanent marking for your body….. For me, you just know. There is this feeling you get when you see or think of a tattoo and you know that even when your 60 your still going to feel like a bad ass.
I’d gotten the idea to get a wrist area rose tattoo from a girl who worked at a local Chipotle, hers was higher up on the wrist and smack dab in the middle…..And let’s not forget fading…. So I decided if I wanted that gnarly ink on my skin that it’d need to be in an area that received less attention.
The shop itself was nice, the tattoo artists and piercers definitely keep it clean and organized, and it was really my kind of place because whether the employee was in their 20s or in their 50s they were covered in tattoos, piercings and gauges.
& that’s just the type of thing that makes you want to throw up the rock on symbol.
As for the tattoo, I loved it & still do. But there was one mistake…. One mistake that stares me in the face every single day. He put the petal line on the wrong side…… Now I have a center petal that curves backwards instead of forwards like it should’ve been. Now I don’t remember my artists name but I believe he worked at their newest location in town. For this reason It’s very unlikely that I’ll be going back to get another $10 tattoo...
I need my tattoos to be perfect. They are forever and I’m not going to settle. As far as tattoos I will be sticking to my licensed & shop experienced tattoo guy who works from home. He has done two spectacular tattoos for me and a half sleeve for my sister. He does them incredibly cheap, which is ultra convenient for a rock & roll girl who is unable to work.
As for Koolsville piercings, I would recommend them. Although my piercer put in a ring that was a little bit too big for my lip by assuming that because I have thick lips I need the biggest ring ever manufactured. I had no issues with my piercing and I thought it was really cute, and I will be going back to get re-pierced.
If I do go back to koolsville for a cheap tattoo it would be on my achillies tendon, but I’m still debating….
