Vacation in Utah
I have a love hate relationship with traveling, I've always loved to see
nature and new sights but now that I have chronic pain that makes having a basic outing such a
struggle that having to travel is like willfully asking to be run over by a semi, I had
to be super brave and strong to survive the drive. I don't usually get to
travel let alone go out of town for more than a few days so this was pretty
rad! I'm still here but nearing the end of my 2 week stay but I had so much fun
I wanted to post about it! Sadly I was probably about as functional as I am at
home, weird but in my fantasies of coming here I expected to be out and about
because a vacation is about leaving your stress behind right? Wrong, not with
chronic health conditions lol..... But with some medication I was at
least able to have some outings and go sightseeing and other things. I'll
probably make a post about the list of things I took to survive the
vacation.
I just loved the nature here,
the mountains, lakes, trees and farm life. Not to mention how safe and friendly
people feel around each other, the backyards here are open and you can see
through them. They aren't walled off like they are in Vegas, even the richest
of neighbourhoods are walled off. I was so confused that people felt so
trusting and safe with one another here that they left things open like that.
I'm assuming the crime rate here is much lower... A neighbour actually
asked for flour which I thought was something that just happened in movies.
It's not that the people of Las Vegas are evil it's just they aren't as kind as
Utahans.
Also the sun sets at 9:15PM
here.... It's totally wild! I've never seen it so bright so late before. In Vegas
no matter what time of year it will always be dark by 7-8pm.
